Bracket with Arctic Silencer

Have just recieved one of the above and noticed it came with a bracket, you know the one thats attached to the mobo for the HSF to attach to.

My question is, is this bracket the same as the standard one, because from what i can see it looks identical, so do i need to replace it when i put the new cooler on?

If it's exactly the same and the originial is fine, why bother swapping it

Arctic silencer is for a graphics card, why would it have a mobo bracket? also if it is the freezer they dont (well they arent supposed to) come with a bracket.

Maybe a picture of the cooler/bracket would help

Yeah sorry, been waiting to get the FTP password for the server i use (its a friend's).

Otherwise i would have done that originally.

The cooler is the top one of this page anyway.

Retail fan makes a funny wurring noise when it speeds up, quite simply i didnt like it. So i choose the silencer to hopefully keep the noise down, but i'm quietly confident it'll be better for cooling anyway.

Oh that one, just try the stock first, should work fine. If not use the one that came with it.

Fitted the cooler yesterday, very cool, very quiet, giving it a few days to settle then 2.5 here i come.
