Braid Released

Braid has been released for PC. It will be available on steam at about 7pm tonight.

Played this on the Xbox last year and it's one of my most favourite games.

Its a game everyone should have, the demo dosent do it justice either. (well on the 360 it didnt).

I hope they price it competitively, unlike something like flock, a puzzle game should never cost more than a fiver.

It's $15 (which is £10.25 atm) so I can imagine it hitting at about £11.99. Be nice if it comes in at £9.99 though. Will happily pay that.

Agreed.
Just completed the PC demo and I think it's the same as the 360. It doesn't do it justice, you need to play the full game to really enjoy it.

Well Steam countdown timer is up and still no Braid... I don't usually buy steam games the second they are released - is this normal ?

Same here.
People on the steam forums say it's normal and sometimes they don't release new games until a few hours after it's supposed to.

I have just started to notice the indie games on Steam, and I am weirdly more excited about the releases of Braid, Osmos and Dyson than any of the big AAA titles. Well, except for Bioshock 2 as all the mags are giving me the hype-I-like-bug.

If and when it is released, might be worth taking note of this official Braid Blog entry regarding high end NVidia cards and video tearing.
May avoid some disappointment..

Delayed on steam for even longer. Will now be released in 25 hours (12am Sunday).

They've added the price - £9.99.

Tempted to buy it from another download site. Going away tomorrow and this would have been good to play when in the car.

I got it on gamersgate, while I have a crap load of games on steam, steam has been a bit shody lately and don't desearve any more of my cash until they get their act together.
