Little brain teaser for everyone to try, will post the answer later on today.

You are in a room with no windows, no doors, a solid metal floor and a high solid metal celling. You do not know how you got there you simply woke up. The walls are 100m thick steel. All you have in the room with you is a stick, which is 5m in length.

How do you escape?

Why on earth woudl someone build a room with 100m thick solid steel walls?

The only reason I can think of is for protection in case of nuclear attack - in which case I think I'd be perfectly happy inside the room, thankyou very much.

First of all how do you get into a room that has solid walls?

Secondly a solid room cannot exist in two ways:
1. A room is an open space surrounded fully or partially by walls.
2. The word solid in the form identical to that of the riddle means not hollowed out.

An open space cannot be filled and still be considered open space and a space that is filled cannot be open and still be considered filled.

Ok here's one. You've just got out of that room. You are in the middle of nowhere. Nothing around. No water etc. Practically a desert, just not quite as hot. A few hundred miles from civilisation. How do you get back?
