Brake down help?

it really does sound like flat battery, get a volt meter over the terminals less then 13v and you will struggle to make it start. should be about 14 when it runs, as you might have an alternator fault.

How old is the current Battery? It sounds rather dead to me, thus why it can't power up the solenoid in the starter motor.

If it's a few years old, then I'd be buying a replacement. Then get a volt meter on the battery terminals with the car running.

It should be reading at least 13.5 volts. Report back here afterwards if you could OP.. I like hearing an outcome!

Good god people, its not rocket science!

If it wont start and its just clicking, turn the headlights on and have a look at them, are they bright or not, if they look like candles in jam jars the battery is flat. If it wont start but the headlights are bright its something else.

It's 2014, not 1940... :p

Nope this morning it still dosent work, If it was the starter motor what noise would it make?

very fast clicking noise, but a flat battery can also do this, you can hit the starter with a hammer, and that gets them going some times, have some one turning the key at the same time.

ps you tube will help you determine what the issue is.
or you can upload a video
