Brake Squeel

i got a really cheap trolley jack from Lidl when they did their car maintenance stuff.

Might also be worth trying places like Costco etc.. ?

If your only going to be taking one wheel off, a trolley jack is fine.

costco do do a trolley jack but it's a massive huge beast, i have one and it's very stable

Im no expert but the garage bloke probably just used emery paper on the pads to get the glaze off!

Its been a very long time since I worked on car brakes and from what I remember lots can go wrong like leaking brake fluid to warped discs.

I don't have costco access. I have my eye on this jack. Don't I also need a breaker bar to get the wheel nuts off and a torque wrench to put everything back on properly?

I only have the halfords pro 150 piece tool set, not sure if that and a jack is sufficient. Also I don't want to take the wheel off and find out I can't put it back on because I fail at mechanics

a thing to get the nuts off can be bought from halfords for £5

You only need a torque wrench if your anal about having your wheel nuts torque'd up to the correct rating, I was always told by my dad just to keep turning till you can no longer push with you hand.

As i discovered when i forgot to tighten mine back up properly after cleaning the alloys, the wheel will vibrate horrendously long before they fall off if you dont do them up tight enough.
