Hello peeps, a bit of advice please.
Recently brought a mondeo from a stealer which was not the best experience I can tell you. Long story short, they mucked up the settlement of the outstanding finance on the part ex so I ended up having to pay another installment. Took 30 days to get sorted after I went direct to the stealers finance department only to be told that there had been some confusion around my address and not anything to do with the actual settlement figure which is what the sales rep had been telling me to sort out. Oh and the head of their sales department basically called me a lair.
Anyway, sorted now, just putting a letter of thanks together for the finance department around the help they gave me and a letter of complaint around the sales departments utter lack of support.
right then, back to the topic. I am still waiting for the service book to arrive. I was told that the car had recently had it's service done when i picked her up. transpires after calling the service department that the last service was supposed to have been a 25k service which was done by them at 34k. the next service apparenlty will be it's 50k service but in reality it's missed 1 service so it's not got a complete service history. (adds this to the letter of complaint)
Then I want to top up the washer bottle on saturday and notice that the break fluid cap was dirty (the rest of the bay was clean) on further investigation the cap was loose and required about 3 turns to tighten it back up.
Now if the car was last serviced in May (at 34k) by the stealer and no one else has had the car as it was in storage and then sold to me, I'm assuming that the cap has been loose for the past month and a half odd.
Question then is this: Would the fact that the cap was loose cause any issues with the break fluid?
Also where do I stand in terms of complaint? I can't prove anything but I sure as hell want to complain.
anyway thanks for listening.
