Its in the title really, which in your experience is best ?.

The AA are offering - Roadside – This is the minimum level of cover and provides assistance if you are broken down away from home for £38.80.

The RAC are offering - Roadside for £34.40 + 15 months for the price or 12

The AA have served me well for many years now but unfortunately I can get the the same £88 relay cover for £27 through my insurer and put to the test a few weeks ago they were just as good using a network of local breakdown recovery firms. Worth checking that first before you sign up because most of the time when I've been tow-trucked home it's been a local tow truck rather than an AA truck anyway.

Been with the RAC for a couple of years now.

I used the RAC when my old Golfs alternator went and had a great service. Originally came out in around an hour. Tooks us home, picked up the car (needed a low loader as no power) and dropped that off home.

In the morning they came out and collected the car and took it to a garage and then drove me and my partner to work.

After that I used them again when the tire blew but we had no tools to repair it.

The only downside is after the second breakdown I had a letter saying that I could use them once more that year and after that I'd have to pay (fair usage policy believe it or not).

Heartily recommend them though.
