Interesting, do you pay an account service charge?

I'm with lloyds so may upgrade :)
I got it for free with the "Gold" account, I think you just need to have £1k in your account, if you go under that you will have to pay a small fee.

It's free with the Premier and the one below that, which I think both cost about £12 a month.

It makes sense for me because I do it on the joint account so we are bother covered for the single fee.

As Mr J has said I think you only need 1k a month going though your account for the "Gold" (not sure if it is called that) and you need a single income of 60k or a joint income of 100k for the premier.

Cheers for the info,

Need cover for my 2nd car so this could come in handy and cost effective, will qualify for gold no problem not luck getting premier though :(

I'm with Signal Motoring Club. Its run by a radio station around here called Signal One. They get local garages to come out to you and pick you up, although they do have a few of their own trucks. I had to use them twice on my Micra (once when it wouldn't start because of extreme damp) and once due to total clutch failure.

Never any problems, my nan has been with them for years. No quibbles about where they pick you up (i.e. how far from home) or where they take you to. That and it is 80 quid for the year.

I have the AA cover with arranty (that covers the HG :D ). before you think that you can join and claim, there is a short period after joingin that you can't make a claim, it's about a week iirc.

I've used the AA for years now and have called them out 3 or 4 times, every time they have been fast, helpful and efficient. I had to be towed from anglesey to surrey once
