I really don't understand people who aren't. Unless they turned out to be violent, etc.

Since she's being unreasonable about it I'd give her a few days rest to come to her senses because it looks like you'd only be arguing now and wouldn't get anywhere. Then call her and tell her you're going to get your stuff and ask her what time/day suits her.

This is good advice. You should get your stuff back but there's no point banging on about it while she's having a paddy.

You were with her for 4 months, she has no right to any of your assets unless you were co-habiting and were purchased as a joint benefit.

OK, I appreciate you may not want to upset anyone (or even want to remain friends) but it seems you have a need for 20 DVD's, laptop and camera together with a compromise for the tent. I strongly suggest you cut the ties immediately and move on, if you still want the DVD's then get them but understand this she will act petty and say take the lot at which point you do - no questions asked ! Load the car and move on.

This, made this mistake once, never again! I think they lose respect for you and just see you as an ATM on legs if you treat them like a "princess". The odd bunch of flowers or the odd present is fair enough, but constantly throwing money at them isn't good.

A decent girl doesn't have gigantic materialistic needs.

Get your stuff back, everything!! Its been 4 months. Christ, after being with my ex for 6 years we divided our stuff up knowing what was mine and hers. She's being a goon. Face punch for good measure I think
