Brexit & Duty Free

Also pre-Brexit, a litre of Gordon's gin was £15, so again not really a bargain compared to supermarket prices.
I wouldn't pay £1.50 for a litre of Gordon's!

We're off to the Channel Islands in a week, the duty free spirit prices on the Condor have always been pretty good. The last couple of trips, I've bought a litre of various good gins for less than the price of 700ml from mainland supermarkets.

Also got some very good gins at excellent prices when flying back from Berlin a few years ago. In fact, pre-brexit and covid, I was looking at the savings and was considering a flight to Berlin just to buy bottles of Berliner Brandstifter and fly back again because the cost saving was so great.

Not any more though.

But yes, the limits have dropped since Brexit which mean it's not practical to do what I was planning.
