Hi all, I was going to post this in TV, but I think this man deserves a GD.

I watched his interview with Piers Morgan, and I have to say I'm ashamed I didn't know more about this great man until now.

The guy is 76 and benches 300lbs and runs still and is planning to go up Everest (for the 4th attempt) and into space, no really.

If you haven't watched this I highly recommend that you do!

Has anyone ever met him ? If so what's he like in person?

The guy is an absolute legend, one of his attempts at Everest, he had to turn back to save the life of one of his guides I think I recall, and is a pretty proficient boxer.

My wife met him when she was working in the theatre, he came into the stage office and made everyone a cup of tea :cool:

A lot of stage actors can be really up their own behinds, but he is a genuinely nice person.

I'm skeptical of that claim. Other places are saying he's said 400lbs as well which throws both in to doubt.
