Bridging ISO outputs?

Hey all,

In both cars I don't run rear speakers, mainly because they're so tiny that they're pointless.

So I've been thinking if it is possible to bridge the outputs front to rear to power just the front speakers? Or should I say is it safe to do so? Looking for a bit more sound up front without going with an amplifier.

So can it be done? Both cars run ISOs

No, you won't gain anything as they're probably already internally bridged and you'll probably damage them. Even a cheap external amplifier will provide power way in excess of what the little tiny ICs in the head unit can provide.

Cheers Howard. Ideally I'd like to avoid an additional amplifier. Really cba with running an amp in the Subaru again.

The Peugeot has an amp and subwoofer already, so I could consider adding an additional amp for the front speakers in there.

This. Any modern high power head unit (i.e. >= 20 Watts per channel) is already bridged. Even if it wasn't, to bridge amplifier outputs they have to be running in anti-phase.
