Bring back DiscWorld

I had Discworld Noir, but just couldnt get very far along in it, even when following the walkthrough. I just couldnt get the watchhouse location to appear from talking to Nobby in the bar. I had a go several times and just couldn't make it work.

PK!

I grew up with those games, i never actually completed them though which was shame.
On a few occasions ive been tempted to go buy them again on ps1.
Discworld noir for the PC wasnt so good though.

Yeah, Noir wasn't great, but the first 2 we're fantastic, recently played the first with the gf, good fun :)

With the Lucasarts point & clicks coming to steam, tuned to vista etc, would be nice to see them on there sometime soon, but i remember reading that the license for the series was a bit up in the air.

ahh Discworld, what an awesome game :)

right up there with Day of the Tentacle in terms of point & click enjoyment

Still got copies of the games lying about somewhere. Fantastic games and some of the few games that actually capture the spirit of their original mediums. Think 1 was my favourite followed by two, however I can't remember a lot of Noir. The only parts I do remember are the plot twists!

Clutching at straws but if the new Monkey Island game does well, i'd say there may be a market for point and click adventures again.

Great games, better books. It sucks to see him sliding - the last couple just weren't as good as they could have been. Still, he may rally yet.

I grew up with them too, they were bloody hard and the walkthrough still made it hard, but was good when you figure it out. Preferred the Discworld 2. When there was no more :( I moved into playing Monkey Island which was ace :)

I started reading the Discworld books as i just miss the game, seems heavy going...

Can't remember which one I played but it had I think 15 floppy disks :D

Talking of Floppy Disks lol the real ones, we still have the computer with the real floppy disks lol

Used to have i think the first Boulder Dash on the computer lol

i loved the games too, was a little dissapointed that Eric Idle didn't play Rince Wind in the tv version of The Colour of Magic his voice just fit soo well lol

I'd like to see an MMO based on Discworld, there's tons of matierial for the backstory and scope for originality out there.

I've just been playing through both Discworld 1 + 2, they are both now officially supported by ScummVM.

They are both likely to become freeware very soon too.

Discworld 1 was stupidly hard, my auntie was addicted and ran up a £700 phone bill to cheat lines getting help.

I always remember something about giving a block a belt in the toilet, then changing the caviare with prunes or something to make him poo. :D
