Bring on the trumpets ?

Please explain it to me then. I can't see anything remotely amusing about it, and can't work out why it is everywhere on TV, radio and the internet.
I just don't get it.

I need to know why it has caught the attention of so many people.

Well, I don't know why it's getting so much publicity now, the initial run of the ads happened last year, I was extracting the audio and making text alerts at the requests of my friends ages ago.

As for the humour, it's marmite, and it appeals to those of us with a more, as much as I hate the phrase, 'random' sense of humour.

Do you find Charlie The Unicorn funny? Literal Music videos? The Fenserfilm GI Joe re-edits? Mystery Science Theatre 3000/Rifftrax?

If yes to most of those, then you'd prolly 'get' the humour of these ads.

Additionally, my mates and I are also either current or past members of the clubbing scene.

Hope that is succinct enough!

Yep thanks for that. It certainly explains why I don't get it as I don't get any of those other references despite having a very random sense of humour. I'm clearly getting old...:(

i haven't heard of any of the shows you listed so perhaps that doesn't help but i'm still lost as to why it's funny. if i said doggies a few times would it be funny? what if i was to say it a few times but then repeat it like 30 times a day. what about then?

They aren't shows. Both Charlie and Literal Music Videos are youtube things.

As for GI Joe:

Sadly, the best ones contain swearing, so I canny post them.

Rifftrax

LOL!

I've never seen that advert before this thread - I sat here in stony silence for the entire thing, then burst out laughing about two seconds after it ended and now I can't stop giggling :D

I gathered it was something to do with the bear being covered in sugar and hence hyper, whilst the snake is all calm with a very soft voice, etc - Possibly suggesting that the "natural" sweets have less enumbers, etc, etc.

I think maybe I read too much into it :p

Y'think?

Both sweets are made by the same company...
