Bristol sound and vision show

I am very very tempted, I believe Tesla is going.

Its a bit of a drive for me and at a busy time (two meets over the next 4 weeks and a weekend in Spain in between), however I would like to go. If anyone else in Kent fancies it, I might be pursuaded to drive down for the day :)

I've been to the last 3 events and enjoyed them. Not so sure this time around.
It's a good opportunity to see a LOT of different kit, but frankly the listening rooms are not great and are not wholy representative of how kit will sound in a home.
As I've got to know more people on various other hi-fi forums, I've found far more benefit to being invited round to listen to kit in a home.

Iv never listened to anything worth more than £500 so listening to some of the brand new top of the range stuff is guna be something i wana try out. I perticularly wana see what the cyrus amps sound like because i might be getting an older one at some point SH, will this be anything like the new ones?

Yes I am going, I was going to go on the Friday but if a few OcUK'ers are going then I am quite flexible and would rather go with some other people.

I am looking forward to the SkyHD stand.

There is usually a chance to buy things too, almost bought some sehnheiser headphones last time, they were incredible.

I don't remember, I didnt go last year as was working in electronics store. The year before I went but I was only 16 and just getting into AV so it was all a bit new to me, I was actually buying my kit at the time of going so learned a heck of a lot!

First of all, WOW!! Iv never heard anything where a single component is worth more than £300.

The one thing that stood out most to me was the new Kef 3005's or something. The sub and 5 satalite speakers were amazing, i was so shocked how good music sounded, the sub integrated so well with the speakers there was no dierection from it what so ever, it was just beutiful for music, and then when they played a DVD, again i was amazed at the quality of the movie sounds.

Definately guna purchase a set of these and the denon DVD player and Denon amp they were useing when i fork out on home cinema, i cant believe how awsome they were.

Oh, and best for music there was Linn i think, followed closely by naim. Linn's demonstration made music i didnt like seem listenable for days on end.
