There used to be a gameshow on channel 4 where a string of american girls wanted to marry british blokes so they could be treated on nhs for failing liver or whatever because usa doesnt help people with long term conditions
This case just sounds like extreme optimism. You're only young once so I cant see the harm except the guys kids hopefully wont be messed around by it all, apart from that if it ends in a year I cant see why its so bad and its just cynical to presume it has to fail.
Definitely no worse then an arranged marriage imo

In American there is much more of a bimodal distribution because it is less socialist than over here, thus there is much less of an average and more extremes at both ends.
IMO women in NYC are generally not hotter than girls you'll find in west end night clubs in London though perhaps women in miami are..
in general though they (or at least the white population) have largely come from the same gene pool as us - mostly celtic or anglo saxon as they're mostly descended from british, irish, german...
perhaps they're a bit fatter on average, maybe darker skin due to climate and have whiter teeth but thats about it
as for steriotypes - they have a very odd one about British people and teeth which is a bit balls as on average we've pretty much got the healthiest teeth in the world though perhaps have less of tendency to bleach them to the point where they're unnaturally white

I think this stereotype comes from years ago when a lot of British music artists had bad teeth and its stuck.
