British Gas Won't Give Me My Damn Refund!

Believe that's the former ceo, current is someone called Catherine okelly but the email I found doesn't seem valid. It won't let me click send.
She is the "monkey" (Managing Director) of British Gas. O'shea is the CEO of the company (Centrica) that owns British Gas, in other words, O'shea is the "organ grinder"
 
Octpous have refunded me with zero fuss several times, and in quick time.
Same, just got £800 back in 48 hours. Didn't even speak to anyone just requested it via their app. Genuinely don't think we'll ever leave octopus, the whole set up just seems better as a customer.
 
@Vidar - before phone lines etc reopen tomorrow, can I ask, have you kept a diary of all of your correspondences so far? Even if there is no audit trail, just the dates and rough times, anyone's names that you might have taken, and what the contents of the call. Then as preparation, you can put all of this together should it ever needs to go to the Ombudsman.
 
Pff 7 weeks that's nothing
BT messed up an order of mine and ended up billing me £1200, they proceeded to take that money via DD.

It took me 8 months and around 25 hours on the phone to them to get it sorted.

Beyond maddening.
