British Grand Prix 2014, Silverstone - Race 9/19

Paddy Lowe has just explained it perfectly yet it's like they only realise this now and didn't during Q3 or they'd have made sure to tell both drivers to finish the lap. Epic fail.
 
So Hamilton got a radio message saying if he didnt think he could go faster to let Rosberg through.

They keep claiming they're treating the drivers equally, but you can see how people can claim that they arent.
 
was a bit silly on an unpredictable lap to save that little in terms of tyres to not finish
completely hamiltons fault it seems

wasnt vettel lucky to throw away that lap earlier!!

Yeah starting to look that way, shame. The problem is always Merc can overtake everyone but near impossible to overtake each other so Hamilton needs to quali ahead of Rosberg regularly if he has any chance.

It's both Lewis' and the teams fault - they should both have realised how slow the third sector was during their earlier laps and how much time there was available to make up there during the second run and thus to finish their laps even if they looked poor from the first two sector times.

and double points at the end etc etc, but it is just mistake after mistake with some unreliability thrown in. I don't expect that to suddenly change.

2nd or less it dosnt really make much difference to him, its nico he needs to beat, that gap isnt getting smaller, and mistakes like this are going to kill his title chances, its still very early, and theres plenty time for that turn around, but it seems the harder he tries the worse things get.
