Never understand that in the race. What happens at the end of the race where it shows total time? They've had a lap time deleted it would show their race time as being shorter. Shorter race time equals faster, so effectively they are in the lead

Just looked and this weekend is the three hardest compounds (1,2&3). Could make tyre degradation interesting next week if they went really extreme with 3,4&5 but presumably they can't go too mad and it'll be 2,3&4.

1 step softer. So this weeks soft tyre is the medium next week. And it's supposedly going to be the temperature it was on friday when it fell apart.
