It's a spec series. But, in any case, his teammate is Schwartzman who is in first.

To be fair to Mick; when he hasn't been the recipient of really bad luck (fire extinguisher going off in the face) or some horrendous strategy (I think Prema had the Ferrari strategy team this weekend); he's generally looked pretty good toward the sharp end of the grid, albeit not with the front few.

Aside from his off in Austria when he was running well up he's not done much wrong himself; he certainly looks a hell of a lot better than his cousin does....

It's true he's had some rotten luck, and I'd agree he hasn't done much wrong exactly; it's more that he simply hasn't impressed. He's not fast enough in either quali or race; we've not seem him carving his way through the field like other drivers have done. I don't think he's a bad driver but, as yet, he's not shown himself to be the pick of the field

Exactly that. He's in the 'meh' zone; not really fighting at the front, and not a liability at the back. I think you're right though, the name alone will probably get him in to F1 in an AR or Haas in a couple of years time.

Yeah I'd agree Mick isn't a bad driver he deserves a seat in F2 but he's not shown the x factor worthy of F1 thus far really.

But yeah he'll eventually get a go in F1 regardless as long as he doesn't totally screw up.

As for Kimi, got to be the end of the line for him at the end of this season. That Alfa is a dog and going nowhere and he's got another year stuck with it if he stays next season, what other team would he now move too? Think his wages would put Hass off he'd cost top dollar for limited return.

Wow, I figured it was fast. Just on the limit, too quick and the tyre could shred. He balanced it brilliantly. How do you even work out the braking zones?

Williams reply -

Will be a real missed opportunity if you guys don't have 'Toto's Independent Traders' on the side of the car this weekend...
:D

Everyone: "Oh, but any driver could win in that Mercedes car".

Me: <points at three-wheeled car doing 230 kph and still crossing the finish line first>

The best meme I’ve seen about Hamilton’s last lap shows his onboard then right as his tyre blows the Rosberg in fire meme appears over the front left :D

3:12 in this video.

Warning: some swearing in the video.

ha ha brilliant, the Raikkonen one made me chuckle the look on that kids face :p

His last lap on 3 wheels was still faster than the safety car was going as well.
Forget the safety car, albeit after three corners with four tyres, that lap was seven seconds faster than the Porsche Supercup pole time!

Edit: I can't count. It was five corners of course.
