Summer might get going in July and should hit properly in August.

Ah yes, August. Right about mid way through the weather flips and autumn starts. Heavy rain, gales, and chilly. At least thats how its been the last umpteen years. Can't wait.

I work in a trade that relies on nice weather, and the whole trade up and down the country is complain about weather. I know we can have a good July, August and September etc.

I'm in North Yorkshire and so far the summer hasn't been to bad, cloudy so not so hot and without significant rainfall

It's also annoying how they can't predict the weather without looking out the window and going "Oh look, it's raining now!"

I was going to get up early and go fishing, but they said it was going to be the end of the world so I had a lie in. Glorious sunshine all day!

It's been fine up here, it's rained most days this past week but it's usually been in the morning or evening leaving the afternoons warm and sunny. End of May/Start of June it was 2-3 weeks of sunshine, i'd say our summer has been better than the whole of last year's already.

I like it this way. So I can be dressed, not scorched by the Sun, and exercise without losing a gallon of sweat.

I don't mind the odd bit of rain. We've actually had pretty good weather up here in the North East. Not consistent, but at least a few days where I could wear shorts and a t-shirt!

I'm getting fed up of the on and off rain. I want to get out and mow the lawn and clean the car but it won't stay off for long enough.

It's been rubbish here in Glasgow for the past few weeks, prior to that, it was absolutely amazing, 25 degree days, not a cloud in sight and now all we see is grey, miserable clouds with plenty of rain.

Just realised. It's exactly 40 years to the day we saw Bob Marley at Leeds Uni.

40 years ago. Was a Friday.

Drove to the coast afterwards, beach party at Reighton Gap. It was hot. Very very hot. Football on the beach. 17 year olds. T shirts for goalposts.
