Lately? Certain regions of the UK have been chucking the work 'like' into every sentence for as long as i can remember. It's not a new thing.

Indeed. Living on the London/Essex boarder I've been surrounded by people who talk like stroke victims for a decade.

A TOWIE or Made In Chesea episode where every incorrect use of the word "like" was edited out would last 10 minutes including adverts.
