Bro got new 60GB 360..no HDMI

lol...I know he can easily get his money back...think hes alittle ****** that he doesnt get his new toy..

...shame, was really looking forward to killing by big bro a few hundred times!

Ive told him to connect it up and check out the HDD to see what it is, as well as send me pics of the details on the box.
 
Right got him to connect it and its the 20gb HDD...the Bsatards!

Checking my store to see wether they have them still.

Looks like 2006 to me, its definitely not 7 and it being manufactured on 2008-10-17 would be a tad difficult....
 
Did the box actually say "Pro"?

EDIT - Just to clarify, with you stating the machine only has a 20GB HD, I would suggest it is from old stock, rather than being a swapped machine. If so, unless they sold it specifically as a new 60GB machine, they've done nothing wrong.

No they sold it to him as the 60gb..I think it says on the box too.

Anywho, he got his refund, i went and pickup on from my local, the manager actually spoke to me and I told him about the scam...as he was worried as they had sold so many this morning.

little question...I was gonna just connect the base unit up with all of my power cbale etc etc.....would this be ok to do?...just to make sure its 100%

Ah good to hear then.

You can use your power supply provided the console uses the lower powered unit if that's what you have.
 
Wait its all gone wrong again, this model checking the harddrive,its only coming up with 11.6gb free.

WTF IS IT WITH THESE POEPLE!
 
Sounds fishy to me, one time you get done for a HDMI port the 2nd time you get done for a hard drive.

I call shennanigans TBH.

Sounds like quite a few people have done the ol switcheroo with their units/harddrives and then returned it. The supermarket store has then run out of new units and started to stick the returned ones back on the shelf the majority of which have had hardware switched

Just a theory.

First one was a swap/ fraud thats for sure.

Second one was a brand new Primum albeit the 20GB version....

My thriry is they are shifting old stock for the newer one comin in.

Either way, not impressed, just back from getting my refund.

And before people even think it I wasnt swapping them...their was no "upgrade" in it for me as they never supplied the newer version!!!

Hi,

Does indeed look like the first one was somneone pulling a scam. Read about this quite a bit on different Forums and quite a few people have got 20gb Models instead of 60gb Models as they are clearing old stock first. The clue is the 60GB one has 60GB emblazoned on the box whereas the older premium doesnt mention the hdd size this is what to look for when picking one up.

ha. just posted about this in the the other thread. My local was try to sell the 20gig version off at 139.99 although it did have an HDMI as i checked the HDD in store (it had no writing on it)
 
Never goto a supermarket goto a proper store that supplies "games" as there main trade, if they have a good deal on, goto a "games" store and ask them to match it.

I work in one of the top stores in the country and will happily match offers in other stores provided they are in stock.

And returns that are made are put aside to be checked and they are marked clearly so this type of problem never happens.
 
Thing is this superstore is currently selling xbox 360s at such a low price no one will match it for a while. There's another post floating around here somewhere, i think it's £140 for a Pro.
 
goto the shop that "wont be beaten on trade-ins" they will match any competitor as long as the competitor has stock.
 
He got a call from them saying due to the mess they will sort him a new one.

He told them to go stuff it lol, hes gonna just wait till chrimbo and see if any deals or anything come up then jsut go to a more dedicated store.
