basically, i have 16Mb sky BB, which comes out to 13Mb when my router is connected directly to the computer and socket. but when i move my computer to my room, i need a 30M extension. I got a phone line extension, but my BB now runs at 6Mb. so should i get a 30m adsl cable instead?

i have tried wireless G, and G mimo, but both could not pick up the signal, which has to travel through two doors and 6 brick walls.

well i tried two different extensions, one costing £13.99 and the other £29.99, but both yielded same results.

should i get a 30m Ethernet cable?

Leave the router where it is and run a bit of Cat5 to your room, or like tollien said, use a homeplug system.

bought the CAT5e, straight through for about £22 inc same day postage (bought at 1 am , and is expected to arrive by 9.30pm).

i can believe i forgot this feature on the CAT5e, i even do cisco (well i have gone half way through CCNA1)
