Broadband losing connection

My broadband has been fine for months and months, no downtime, resyncs or anything. Out of the blue about 2 weeks back it kept disconnecting and I wasnt sure why.

I kept a log of all the times it was going offline then yesterday I had a thought. I checked and it corresponds with everytime a call has been made using the home phone.

First thought, microfilters, I have tried 3 different ones now, no luck. It's really starting to frustrate me as everytime it reconnects, my upload speed drops to about 10/15k as opposed to the 60/70k I normally get. This is a major problem for me as I do a serious amount of uploading for various websites I maintain and do video editing for.

Any ideas what could be causing the problems? Nothing has been changed with anything inside the house, so have no idea what has caused this :(

I'm on Sky BB max package by the way.

Having dealt with many isps dealing with broadband over the last 9 years I know the usual procedure of answering dumb questions, being treated like a damn idiot, being told to unplug, replug everything, reboot, restart and so on.

Would like to see if anyone has any suggestions before I give them a call, haven't got the patience for a 30 minute wait on the phone followed by some gimp reading from a screen treating me like i'm a fool with an IQ of 12. Yes, i am sore over past calls, lol!

I just tell them I know what Im doing and I list what I have done, I'm usually off the call pretty quickly.

But apart from that, If nothing has changed and you have suddenly started having problems you have no choice but to phone them as it sounds like a line issue.

Provided you've done the "dumb idiot" things already (no extensions, no phones, no filters, different modem), you should be able to skip them.
