Broken Britain Movies (released after 2004)
DEFINITION = movies depicting widespread state of social decay in the United Kingdom circa 2007, i.e. chavs, modern day youth crime, grimey streets of London.
NOT = Gangster flicks or anything post-apocalyptic.

I can't get enough of them, it's one of those rare subjects where I'm entertained even by what some consider a poor quality movie. Trying to put together a decent list of any related films from 2004 onward (even if you/others consider it a poor film).

Example:
Ill Manors
Adulthood
Kidulthood
Harry Brown
Eden Lake
Offender
Shifty

No, not really and This Is England isn't related either.

I'm talking about 'Broken Britain':
"a populist term which has been used to describe a perceived widespread state of social decay in the United Kingdom circa 2007, i.e. chavs, modern day youth crime, grimey streets of London.."

NO WAY!! That's seriously fantastic news.

It's amazing how many people just see Noel Clarke as the bumbling boyfriend from Dr Who. He's seriously talented.

heh

I can't believe Adam Deacon will not be in Brotherhood. Pretty ridiculous. but then again he's like that character in real life and actually turned on Noel Clarke over calling his film Anuvahood.

Femi isn't in Brotherhood either!? What's this film going to be if the three lead characters aren't in the final film.

Sounds like Adam Deacon may not be the sole issue here. Femi isn't just a simple street kid he just graduated with a law degree and was so against being part of Brotherhood ("I'd rather have no fans and never act again than be in that film") that it seems like Noel Clarke has stepped out of line somewhere. Granted they should appreciate what he's done for them.

I still really hope it's a good flick.

How about Youngers? Has anyone seen that?

Looks like it could fall in line with the films in this thread but from the trailer it looks like Hollyoaks meets Anuvahood.
