Broken Capacitor!

Hi, I've someone managed to knock a capacitor off my abit aw9d-max motherboard. Can someone tell me what it is used for and if its important or should the board still run ok? I don't currently have a 775 cpu so unable to test it.

Capacitors store electrical charge.

I've no idea what that particular one is for but the manufacturer didn't put it there for fun.

I wouldn't use the motherboard until it's been repaired.
 
At a guess i'd say it was something to do with the RAM or cpu power.. definetly not something you'd want not to be there.
