I know a few peeps liked the last couple of releases my band (Broken Daylight) put up here last year and the year before, and we've just finished our latest one, so thought i'd put it up to download for those that want it! Just a little 6 track EP this time we recorded ourselves. You can download it in a zip file here:

Three of the tracks are also on our Myspace page if you don't want to waste too much bandwidth on our stuff!- http://www.myspace.com/brokendaylight

Cheers

Cheers for this, your last album had some very good production and some songs I listened to quite a few times, I'll make sure to post again when I've listened.

Send them into to radio1 tbh ;)

Thanks the last album was great! listened to it loads, So far i'm liking the new EP The smalltown life is my favorite so far. Very solid nice work :)

Thanks again.

Believe (no pun intended!) it or not your previous two albums are probably amongst the most listened to on my mp3 player. As good as any band I've 'discovered' in the last 3 years.

Will give it a proper listen over the weekend but from the couple of tracks I've heard so far the production standard seems high (not always a good thing from my POV as I'm rather fond of some of the 'rawer' tracks on FLANM!).

One of the things I like is that you have a nice balance of 'mainstream' style tracks together with some more powerful, heartstring-pulling 'album-material' anthems (Promises from this EP being a good example).

ace, thanks very much! We're about to start work on the next album which is probably going to be a little more raw and like the first album hopefully!

The more i listen to this EP the more i'm starting to like it more than believe. Very very solid work & i love Change Anything so much now lol. Kinda reflects whats happening with me at the moment :)

Look forward to hearing more from you guys, you should really send some of your work into some radio stations! as previously said in the thread.

Keep up the fantastic music.

Anyone who looks in the thread really should give these guys a try :)

are you guys trying to get signed? you've got a very appealing sound, and when you compare it with what's in the charts right now it'd be a much-welcomed change to see people who could actually write songs and play instruments up there.

you should seriously start marketing yourselves to companies if that's your ultimate goal

Are you the badn that sang the song with the chorus line: "These are the days that i won't forget you are the friends that i won't regretttttttt"? If so well done, that was a QUALITY song!

Cheers guys, very much appreciated!

Thanks! We did send stuff out to all the radio stations, promoters, record labels and all that stuff a while back. Worked pretty hard on it but most people didn't think we were cool enough and were disinterested so we've just been doing our own thing and gigging and recording as much as possible!

Yeah that was us, thanks very much!

I'll re-upload our other 2 albums in a bit for anyone who fancies a slice!

Cheers

well, they're right I suppose. problem is that there's no-one now that would take a risk to play you guys because you're not like everyone else out there! Jo Whiley might play you if she got drunk with you and fightstar and ended up giving one of you head. John Peel would've played you, I reckon.

Thanks for the EP, and for the re-upload of your second album, which I thought I already had. I still listen to your first album, despite the quality not being great, it's still very listenable.
