They work as though they're sticky, nothing has been spilt on them and I try to keep them clean and dust free. A couple of the buttons just stick and you have to keep pressing them to get them come back up.
Only issue ive had is the l2/r2 springs crushing (there weak and flimsey). Disected some old floppy disks for the springs and they work nice in the ps3 pad. more tension too and less likely to crush.
On the subject of broken DS3 controllers Ive got an issue with mine.
For some reason it switches off while gaming (perhaps at the worst times ever) and I have to press the PS button to get it to reconnect. My 6A is totally fine and doesnt suffer the problem.
Im hoping its not a BT issue (my headset seems ok)...
