Broken Scuttle panel? - Garage just rang me

^ lol thanks for spotting, been working on spreadsheets today and lost my mind.

They were changing the pollen filter as part of the service, so yeah they cracked it during the process.

Kudos to the garage for admitting breaking it really, because most would have just bodged it back into place. It's not difficult to break the clips on these when removing them, and as they get a lot of UV light on them from the sun they tend to go brittle as they age.

Aww, I wanted you to get me some ;)
Like blueboy said, nice of them to let you know as long as they replace it for you.

Best way to swap the pollen filter is to wedge the scuttle open an inch or so with a block of wood or similar and slide the filter out and replace without removing the scuttle. Had no problems so far with this method.

Bulb cost me 29p, ouch.

Crack is about 8cm long and on the plastic below the window wiper. They are replacing tomorrow free of charge so I think that's ok... apparently they did it changing the pollen filter.

Interestingly enough, they told me my brake pads were at 20-30% wear left. I haven't touched them since and this time they said that they were at 40-50%!!!

Total cost - £97

Muppets.

I just bought a indicator bulb for my car £1.50 i thought that was expensive am i right ?

Agh tarts! Every garage and that garage's mother garage seem to do the brake wear BS! I had it tried on with the 306 when getting it serviced at some random place, and with the Octy TWICE at Skoda.

It's ok, I am selling the car before the big service... won't need to be serviced until July/September next year and I am selling it around May :)

Toyota told me the rear pads were down to 20% so I changed them myself and found them to be perfectly fine with loads of friction material left. I've saved them and will put them back on when the replacements have worn.
