Just today the silent switch has broken off my iPhone 3G. Have tried pushing it back in but it continually falls out so wondering if I will get any help from Apple.
I've had the phone since November 08 and didn't take out insurance.
I heard at some point that the warranty was modified to only last 12 months irrespective of how long your contract was, is this applied retrospectively? I'm sure I bought the phone before this was announced so wondering if anyone can clarify for me.
At best would Apple fix it as a goodwill gesture (as I've seen a few mentioned here before), or will they tell me to gtfo.
