Broken SSD?

I am attempting to install windows 7 ultimate on my SSD after wiping it as I got a new mobo. I am able to install windows on the drive successfully but when I boot up the install I get issues, it seems to be that during the installation of my mobo drivers the install breaks and I can no longer boot it and my mobo seems to struggle to recognise it. My Hdd works fine though I have used it for over 30 hours no issues so it appears to be very much an SSD problem.

Asus Z97 pro and an OCZ vertex 2 120 GB. I don't always get errors when trying to boot it sometimes the mobo doesn't recognise it but mostly I get a 0xc000000e boot failure

i would check that the sata cables are securely connected at both ends or replace the cable.

try a different sata port on the motherboard, make sure the sata ports are set to achi instead of IDE.

do you have any other HDDs or SSDs connected and what OS are you running?

disconnect any other HDDs or SSDs and boot from either the DVD or USb stick with your OS on and try to "repair my computer"

also make sure you don't have any USB HDDs or USB sticks as the PC may try to boot from them first before the SSD

I have tried all of this previously

I have installed the latest bios version. Going into the windows disk to try and install on my SSD I formated (with the quick format on the disk) the SSD and chose not to install as it said 'windows cannot be installed to this disk ensure that the disk's controller is enabled'. I restarted my pc and upon loading the windows disk again it could not find the SSD.

tried enabling hotswap for the port that its connected to in the bios?might show up then, some boards are funny

is hot plug the same as hot swap?

edit I did it no change the mobo cant see it still it does fine on my HDD so i really think it must be broken.

huh now I can see it now but still getting the error message saying I cant install to this drive is there any hard reset I can do with the drive?
