Although not completely confirmed, Cecil hints at the first Broken Sword sequel since 2006.

"We’ve risked the frustration of the fans," says Cecil. "They know that we’re writing a new game. We’re going to be announcing it with a fanfare."

Cecil has also revealed the new game will largely be in 2D to feel like a "classic adventure".

"When you move to 3D it changes the essence. With 2D the game feels like a classic adventure. But in our next game we will use 3D where appropriate.

i still have #1 ps1 disc around somewhere, just a promo disc so no proper case but it's still the full game was pretty enjoyable but i was like 7 at the time? can't remember the release date too far back now lol.

dunno if it will be as good now im an oldie :p

Awesome, I hope it is the Broken Sword series.

I played BS1 when I was about 12, I played that and BS2 on my Playstation and didn't have a PC to play on at that time, I missed out on 3/4 until 2 months ago where I played them, it's one of my favorite point and click games and brought back memories, hated the 3d one's though and the control system.

Got me back into the need for those games, but found it very hard to find anything I hadn't already played, the Pendulo studio games are a bit, meh.... too weird. "Yesterday" was alright but "The Next Big Thing" was unberable getting through the story.

Loved the first two and played them again on ipad, never touched the ones after through disenchantment with how it looked now, I should probably give them a whirl though.

1 and 2 were so good, some of my favourite adventure games ever. 3 was OK I think but 4 I just gave up on as every puzzle seemed to involve moving blocks around? Plus there was some ropey item detection which made it really easy to miss things and end up being stuck for ages for no reason. Was it really 2006 the last one was released? Wow I feel old.

5 hours to go!

Not enough hours in a day..

So many games to play at the mo..

Shadow Warrior
Gemini Rue (adventure game I'm playing atm)
Starbound (releasing tonight along with Broken Sword)

NEED MORE TIME:mad:

What going on with the pricing on Steam?

Edit. Now they changed it back.

Yeah I think it was a mistake, I'm getting sick of them doing this. How hard can it be to enter a correct price ffs . Was just about to buy it for that price but it disappeared from my cart. My mate managed to complete checkout before it was removed though.

Meh, I'll wait for some reveiws before paying £15 as I wasn't keen on the last two games.

Wasn't one a pre-order price and the other not?
:S

The pre-order price was -%20 or so as far as I am aware. The -44% price had a countdown that said it ended in 6 hours or so but ended before I could even start the checkout process.

Would have been a bit annoying for all the people who had pre-ordered at the original price if it wasn't a mistake.

broken sword, wow that brings back some memories, got it as a gift from my dad after a hospital visit :)

Anyone playing this, is it any good? Currently £15.19 on Steam which seems reasonable for both episodes. Reviews online seem a bit mixed so any feedback here appreciated.
