You space key does at least work once in a while - both your posts have at least one. In the meantime, I suggest that you get creative with underscores. Or copy and paste spaces from elsewhere - Ctrl-V is your friend.

Though my underscore point still stands, surely? You can do question marks, so shift must be working. And won't slow you down that much.

Other than that take it apart as much as possible and leave it to dry out in a warm (not hot) dry place.
