brothers in arms hells highway

I'm quite enjoying this, its a little rough around the edges but It has a GRAW in WW2 feel about it to me.

Unfortunately I've got my COD4 gamepad controls so engrained I keep ordering my squad to the location I'm trying to aim at, there is something incredibly satisfying aout popping up and nailing a long range head shot accompanied by slow motion replay, as a single player experience I'm having a lot of fun, only a few hours in but I'm really enjoying the open field warfare experience in this game :)

Thanks for the feedback guys, it was a toss up between getting this or SBK08, the other day – I picked the latter (and the verdict is still out on that).

I found the original BIA a complete pile of ****, it was hard to play as your character felt like a ghost most of the time – Founder_film helps describe this:

But you have to play this game how the developers want you to. So each section is almost like a puzzle not so much a shooter.

The original seemed totally reliant on you playing how the devs wanted you to – you give and order here and there, and so on. As soon as you step out of this routine, the game seemed to fall into shambles – I recall many times being able to single-handedly plough through the enemy AI without a hint of resistance.

If HH is still like this, then sadly it will be a miss for me.

Scort.

well ive just finished it, i enjoyed it, i dont know if i can be bothered to finish it on authentic. I think ill go see what the mp is about.
Still probably get the next one whenever that will be, out in the snow sounds fun :)

There's another planned to come out already?

I bought the game today and I am dissapointed really. In the videos I watched it showed zoomed in camera action of body parts flying when an explosion went off but I haven't seen any of that, I see the camera moments but no parts flying, they removed the gore?

the gore is still there, you only realy see it on headshots or explosions, especialy hitting mg nest with a bazooka or using the tank on groups of people. There is a option to turn gore on and off in the settings tho.

Hey

So, downloaded the BIA:HH demo off of the PSN store this evening and have come away from it with a very jaded view of the game - it really does not play very well at all!

  • Controls are terrible! They seem to be the 'anti-controls' to every other PS3 i've played!
  • Jerky, slow cutscenes - is this just a PS3 issue or for both?
  • Very cartoony - while I can't really be mad at this - it seems a very jolly, colourful atmosphere for a WW2 game based on 'hells highway'.

I just seemed to have no fun with this at all, made me really frustrated and everything that happened was just a hindrance while I was playing - I was hoping to pick this up sometime this coming week I now really am having second thoughts.

Did you guys have the same issues? Is it something that after 15-30 minutes of play you get used to (controls wise) and it is OK?

I have just finished this and although its not COD, I really enjoyed playing it. The controls for team work are not a patch on R6 and it really needs adjusting or copying R6.

It worked much easier on the PC.

Having played the previous games I really enjoyed the story and the battles although I didn't use my team much.

Good rental for a couple of days play :)
