Hey guys, quick question:

Is there an app like Samba Filesharing that will allow me to browse the ROOT of my phone via WiFi in the same simple and painless way that Samba will allow me to browse my SD card?

I'm assuming the answer will be 'no' but I have to ask :D

Thanks in advance.

Is there any reason you need to browse from the PC? ES File Explorer will let you read/write to your PC/phone from the phone, if you're wanting to copy stuff from phone to PC. That's how I get everything to/from the phone from/to the PC :).

Linky --> MyphoneExplorer

Browsing the Phone Memory:

And the Memory Card:

All done over the Wi-Fi (or Bluetooth and USB if you want!)

You can also have a look at or Edit your calendar, Contacts or Call Log

Plus you can Send a Text using your Computer Keyboard, Back-up your phone, take screen grabs etc...

And if its connected to your phone by Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and you get a call, it'll mute (to a pre-set level) your music on your PC untill the call ends!! :cool:

Had an early version the Prog i the olden days when it was SE phones only... loved it on my W800i

Another thing it does on Vista/Win7 is there is a Desktop Widget/Gadget for quick reference of Calls, Messages and Battery life!..
