Browsing certain pages is so slow. What could it be?

Whether I use Chrome or Firefox makes no difference. Disabling plugins makes no difference.

Certain pages with java embedded slowly drag my browser to a halt so I wonder what the hell is the problem? The page will begin working fine and gradually will slow down and i'll get a message on whether i want to wait or kill the page. This is not a flash issue as flash is disabled. I also experienced similar problems with Youtube sometimes whereby when I try to maximize the video window I would get a freeze.

I have updated my graphics Intel 630 drivers to no result.

What could be the issue? I have a 2017 modern PC with the exception of the on-board crappy GPU.

Run a malware/virus scan.

Low storage space?

Any other devices running on your Internet connection ok speed wise?

what is an example of such a slowing down web-site ?
(not to cast dispersions but the OC forum itself, does give me some problems in FF, the tab gets a lot of use !, but I need to find out if the amount of cached material, or memory use increases in an unexpected way after a while )

Binance looks like a crummy/slow/junk web-site
see all the comments http://downdetector.com/status/binance

Looks like the site has a lot of active content (I don't know technical term) with mouse-hover activity (as you say) and the site renders practically nothing, fior me, unless you enable java -
personally would not use it
