Hey Folks,

Is anyone going to any of his European shows this year? I'm going to his Manchester and Cardiff shows. In my opinion as a live artist their is no one better. I am new fan in as much as I only seen him for the first time in 2003. I'm sure I sold tickets to a member of these forums for that tour aswell, or maybe the year after. I have seen him 9 times since 2003 and have been blown away everytime, the energy that he gives out is immense. In the 80's he did shows that lasted 4 hours!!! Even if your not a fan you cant but be in awe of this. I have been to many shows where I have thought the bands have been poor in terms of effort etc.... Its common at Springsteen shows for the crowd to hold up signs of songs from the 70's to the 00's and Bruce and the band will play them.... this just does'nt happen with other bands. Also, If you are looking for a great guitar player you should look at Nils Lofgren, he is an awesome.

I've told this story more than others on here but at least you should find it interesting.
During the 70's I disliked Springsteen, his music did nothing for me.
In 1980 my bass player was let down by a mate and asked me if I'd go to the NEC on the River tour and it would be all free.
I reluctantly went because he begged me.
He did 90 mins
20 min break
90 mins
10 min break
30 mins.

Everywhere I looked in the audience people were mouthing every word and I can easily say that it was one of the best concerts that I've ever been too.
I'm still not a fan but I have got quite a few of his albums and several live DVDs and I can appreciate the bloke.
When I was dropped off I gave my mate the £4 for the ticket and £2 petrol money.
Its one gig I will always remember.

Am going on 31st May to the Emirates Stadium (London). Should be brilliant, except I won't be able to see too much from where I'm sitting!

I first saw him in 2003 at Crystal Palace. Incredible. You can appreciate the Live DVDs are great (Springteen's live recordings are usually far better than the studio albums), but it's just in a different league when you're actually there. And you could go nearly every night he's in town if you could get hold of tickets, as the set lists are always different. I've seen him on the Devils & Dust tour in 2005 and Seeger Session tour in 2007. Both were very different to a full on E-Street Band show, but still great shows. As you say, probably the best live performer you'll ever see. When I see any other shows, you're just disappointed. Nothing's ever come close to matching a Springsteen gig.

The O2 in December was brilliant - Nils Lofgren's solo on Because the Night... wow. Am hoping he plays Reason to Believe again next week too.

The O2 was in December was excellent. I queued all day to get to the front, it is one of the few times I've seen them indoor. Its just a pity bands need to play stadiums.

If they didn't, I struggle to get tickets. This gig next saturday is the first I've paid face value for. I was on the phone for tickets to the O2, and they'd sold out by the time I actually managed to get through. That was in about 10 minutes.

Actually managed to get about third row back of the Seeger Sessions gig by turning up about an hour and a half before the doors open. Usually you have to turn up well before that! Evidently those in Belfast weren't quite keen enough - although the guys at the very front had been there since the morning!

2 x tickets (seated) for Springsteen this Friday in London (Emirates)

Hello,

I have 2 spare tickets for thsi Friday if anyone is interested. I bought them as spares for a mate who has let me down. I will be going but will be in the standing section. I paid £130 for the pair and idealy would liek to recoup at least £120 for them. I have the tickets in hand and will be up there quite early as I will be going to the 'Badlands' pre-show party. They are in Block 19 which is very close to the stage.

If I wasn't going out for dinner on Friday with the people I'm going with on Saturday, I'd be so tempted. They sound like better seats than the ones I've got on Saturday anyway. Unfortunately there're three of us, so I couldn't even cancel dinner and go twice!

I'm going to Manchester on the 14th June if i'm not mistaken. Never been to a Springsteen concert before. Really looking forward to it. Enjoy it guys.

Yes.. I really enjoyed the gig. Heard some songs i'd been waiting to hear live for a while. Only downside for me was Ticketmaster changing my standing tickets to seats due to the stage being 'bigger than expected'. I was in east stand, it was good being opposite the stage but was still a bit far. Thankfully the screens were great and sound was good on the whole for a stadium.

Hopefully going to Cardiff next.

loved the gig, no surrender, badlands, because the night, BTR were all highlights for me, the way we all sang the ooo oo ooo from badlands for the encore was awesome, also bruce was great ineraction wise, loved it :)

Well I saw him at Cardiff last night and a brilliant performance. Roughly 3 hours of Bruce and I also bought a T-Shirt. :p
