Bruised ribs?

I went to see Queens of the Stone Age last week play in Southampton. Decent concert and as usual we got stuck in there in the mosh pit.

Only problem was I got wacked in the ribs hard at one point which was enough to put a premature end to my moshing for the night.

A week later it STILL hurts and is quite uncomfortable. I've obviously got them bruised, is it normal for it to take a long time to heal though? I'm pondering visiting my GP just to check.

Not worth it IMO. I've had plenty of bruises which are painful for for 2-3 weeks.

if its cracked they cant do anything anyway.

I'd give it another week. GP can't do anything anyway, and is unlikely to suggest an xray so soon. I'd give it at least another week.
