I've used solarise to give the sky a menacing look and cropped a little at the bottom and right. What do you think?

Hmmmm. It doesn't quite work for me. It doesn't seem menacing. It seems more photoshopped. Maybe try using my hdr pdf which might be able to create the effect you're after? That will combine 3 shots into one. One shot for the sky, one balanced shot and one for the ground.

I agree with the photoshopped feel. It's got the sort of look that you used to get on the old 16bit computer games in the late 80s when they first got still 'photos' (usually as backgrounds or with an added extra in text adventures) in games but they only had 16 colours to choose from.

This could be great. It looks too messed wrongly with to me at the moment. If you posted the original someone on here would help
