BSOD Boot Loop

i would look to see the voltages the ram is rated at , so say if its 1.2 > 1.4V i would try 1.3v and run mem test ( via bios if possible or bootable usb ) ,with just 1 dim in the primary memory slot as per the MB instruction booklet and see if you get errors , if you get errors then try the other stick in the same slot.
If you get errors with both then try increasing memory voltage ( not going above max ) and if you still get errors either your memory is duff or it could be your MB.

Does Memtest have a legacy version as Uefi freezes on my mobo. When I run it on my ram I did get errors but replacement RAM did not resolve it.

Same brand just different capacity. The shop have had no joy yet but I still don't think they have tried an alternate CPU. Essentially they have ignored me when I told them everything I have tested and are doing it all over again. Basically they are treating it as a standard "My laptop is slowz becoz Farmville virus toolbarz installed". I am calling them first thing tomorrow morning to insist trying the alternate CPU as either way I will be picking it up after work tomorrow.
 
Got a call from the shop this morning. They said that they had noticed something odd with my build. He said I only had one of the 4x4 EPS Power Cable connected to the CPU Power socket on the board (its in the one on the right). Now correct me if i am wrong but I was under the impression that the second power socket is only for extreme overclocking? I did tell him this but offered to take my bag of cables into the store. When I said that he was a little hesitant. My PSU is a Corsair RM850x so I know for sure that it has the extra cable.

Thoughts?

My old man has the 2 CPU power inputs on board and he's found out that the second power input is for Extreme overclocking like you say... I'm sure someone else on here maybe able to confirm or maybe they will teach us all something new about the 2 power inputs :p
 
Just had another call back from thew shop and they are now finally getting around to doing what I asked them to do in the first place but have to check that they have an 8th or 9th gen processor to test it with. They told me on Wednesday that they do but he has offered me a full refund if they don't. This is so frustrating when people don't listen.
 
Went into the shop this afternoon and took them the second power cable. I doubt it is going to make a blind bit of difference although if it does work it could point to the CPU power connector on the mobo giving out. He will be testing his 9 series i5 in it by tomorrow morning so either way i should know what my course of action is by tomorrow.

surely it will not do any harm to have it connected , me personally i would have it connected anyways , and at the best its going to be the answer to your problems.
 
CPU and secondary SSD are dead. Just checked and my extension is not surge protected. FML £700 down. Rest of the machine is fine boots up fine with a 9600k.
 
If it was just the CPU that was dead I would think it may not be a surge but two dead components pushes me towards a power surge. Ty.
