Tried running chkdisk? Iirc i had this a few years ago with what turned out to be a faulty hdd.

No mate, just formatted the drive and putting win 8 to test so far so good just sllllloooooooowwwwwwww

6B is a disk subsystem error I believe.

Lol, mechanical drives. Reinstalled windows on my i7 930 system the other day. Took ages, so used to an ssd now. The difference is like a cheap burger compared to a prime steak.

Which cpu is the system based on mate? Had a crack at clocking the 930 the other day. Been a while since i messed about with x58. Took a bit to get my head round the settings again, only to then remember that i had the oc profile saved in bios. The ol memory aint what it used to be.

Owned E6600, Q6600 and Q9550 on s775. Asus p5q deluxe P45 chipset board with the latter two, 3.8ghz on both. Excellent board for clocking on.
