sorry this is long winded.

ive been over clocking my new set up and experienced the pc freezing at any random point, but not while playing games! any way i thought i best un clock every thing and over clocked one thing at a time to find out, which was the HD5770 so i thought id run the whole pc @ oem speeds to make sure

any way. that was yesterday, its been off all day untill about an hour ago.

went to put track mania on for my son after the pc had been on for a good ten mins, he was playing it well till it crashed and blu screened saying,

PFN_LIST_CORRUPT,

so restarted pc after a cmos reset and the pc didnt even give me time to even get on to google to look up that error, when it blue screened again this time stating

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

this started to worry me that i had no overclocking going on and once i restarted again i made sure in the bios. but in a matter of minutes i got

MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

some sites are saying drivers, another referred to there anti virus programme being the culprit of the PFN_LIST

any idea's?

With those errors, my first suggestion would be to try reseating the RAM. If the error persists try each RAM stick individually and in different slots.

I supect either faulty ram or your borked your OS when it was OverClocked . . . download Memtest to check the sticks, if they are fine then you may need to re-install your OS and make a backup of it before clocking! :)

ok good call, running just a 2gb stick at the moment. and no bsod's so far. i was thinking the mom sticks but wasnt sure!

i had 2x 512 and 1 2gb, but i think they were running two diffrent timings as they were on auto after it freezing a few times. might have to set the 512's timming to match the 2gb and run at 800mhz which they have done since having the 2gb. or just run the 2gb and pick another 2gb up and run a middle of the road timming

If you can get one matched pair it would make a difference -using three sticks is not really recommended - a match pair will give you dual channel memory(a speed increase) plus better compatability. 2 X 1gig sticks should actually be faster than a single 2gig stick - albeit in benchmarks only..
