Ever since i got my 6950 last week ive been coming across a lot more BSODS and random freezes. Like BC2 wont even run for more than 10 minutes.

I cant put my finger on what the source of the problem is, Ive updated to the latest drivers and even reinstalled windows.

Half of the time it will be working just fine, like i can play crysis 2 maxxed out at a solid 50-60 fps but then it would freeze, black screen then return.

The card it self isnt going past 60C on load so overheating isnt the culprit.

Ive got a older 700W Artic PSU so Im running Molex to the 8 + 6 power adapters that are required ( mind im getting a new one next monday ) but the box says it supports 22amps on the 12v+1/+2 and

So im lost for ideas why im getting these errors, they never happened with my old card! Do you think ive got a faulty card ?

You running any hardware monitoring programs such as GPU-Z, Afterburner etc?

These apparently conflict with Punkbuster and can cause the symptoms you describe assuming that in single player your rig is stable and you don't have these problems?

sauce

Ah yeah i run Coretemp CPUz GPUz Afterburner :D

but i do get BSOD and freezes and some glitches in other games too, like in SC i often get like a black triangle flash on my screen in the top left corner.

Its just annoying that after paying £200 for a new card my old one was more stable :/ ive never had PB issues before i used to play BC2 all the time! Well ill be waiting till next week when i get my PSU and report back, if it is a power problem then it SHOULD be resolved but if not i think i might have to return the card ><>

Ive narrowed the problems down to the following
Ram
Vram
PSU.

When i oc either my cpu or graphics card its never stable, and i think thats down to the psu i have not being able to hold a stable current cos its a budget cheap **** one, how can i check Vram on the card ? and ill be running memtest today to see if any of my ram is faulty
