Hi guys, Last few days I have had the Blue Screen of Death hit me!

Here is the dump:

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.

The problem seems to be caused by the following file: ntoskrnl.exe

KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow
these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer
for any Windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware
or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart
your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then
select Safe Mode.

Technical Information:

I have googled the issue and it seems to suggest it may be either a hard drive issue or it could be RAM.

I am currently running chkdsk on my HDD, but I was wondering if it could also be one of the two SSD's I have?

Any info would be really useful.

do some memory tests like prime 95, how often does this appear?

can try removing 1 stick of ram and monitor it and then if its ok you know which one is faulty

Well, I ran memtest and everything came out fine.

However I tried to install windows on my new SSD drive and it hung up and froze the pc in the process. About to try and fresh install on my old SSD and see if the error occurs again. If not then I think we know the culprit.

Well, looks like that isn't the problem. Tried a different SSD and HDD and the issue remains. I am going to run it through memtest for a lot longer and come back. Bit baffled at the moment I have to admit.

I will attempt to use one stick of RAM either later on or tomorrow. The issue really is that I have a stupidly large PCU cooler and it's a real pain getting the damn sticks out. :/
