BSOD randomly

This is definitely a graphics card issue because the screen goes black for a few seconds then on the blue screen it specifies that it's a display problem.

I have a HD 7950, only installed it a couple of days ago. It is at stock settings so no overclock. I use dual screen.

PSU is definitely sufficient.

Anyone know what's going on?

Errr... resolved (hopeuflly). False alarm, sorry!

Apparently it was set to defaults on CCC but it was on 1000MHz from 900 clock on AB somehow. Not sure how that happened as I thought they should synchronise.

The voltage wasn't adjusted for the clock change on AB so that was probably the culprit.

i'm glad you found what was giving you BSOD but i think you should keep your card overclocked and enjoyed the 5-10 fps while you can before you BSOD and while your at it try and find a way to overclock your HDD?

I've overclocked my keyboard it runs super sweet and all but the keys burn my fingers

What dreadfull advice...BSOD's will do the computer no favours at all and as for OCing the HDD....are you just being stupid?

Anyway it seems that I might be wrong. The settings were at default on CCC & AB but it happened again just now.

I have been having problems with one hard drive (just a storage drive) and posted a thread about it here: Link

I've heard that failing hard drives can cause BSOD but not sure if it's just your system drive or if it happens to secondary drives. The one guy who replied to me suggested that the issue I'm having there may be a sign that it's dying. However, the BSOD says it's a display problem so I'm a bit sceptical about it all.

If I understand correctly, it is set higher than stated in CCC? If this is the case try lowering the clocks to the specified speeds and keep an eye on temps. Also try swapping drivers. You will need to look at the AMD driver threads for more info though sorry.

No, as I said in my first post it is at stock settings and not overclocked.

I will try another driver later. Maybe I will use the driver CD (can't be THAT old).
