Just got a new mobo Asus Rampage III Black edition.
Drive C is a OCZ Vertex 3, runing on 6GBs SATA No problems.
Drive D is a Western Digital VelociRaptor 600GB 10000RPM SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache - OEM (WD6000HLHX), but when i went to format is gave a BSOD.

Formated in an external caddy, no problem. Put back on Mobo, and BSOD, in the end put on a 3Gb/s SATA port and is fine, but would like to run on 6Gb/s.

Running WIN 7 64BIT SP1.

BSOD is on the MARVELL driver...this the latest i got from ASUS.

Any Ideas...

There's no point in putting it on a 6Gb/s port as it wouldn't even saturate 3Gb/s.

Also the Marvell 6Gb/s ports are hardly any better than Intel's 3Gb/s ports.
