can anyone advise me what ISP to go with?
the details before I start:

Exchange: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/WWTRUR

Usage: lots of facebook Gaming, P2P + Iplayer 4OD etc but mostly after 5pm and at weekends
I'm guessing approx 20-30GB a month ish but maybe popping over 40 if I've nothing better to do in the evenings?
we do use iplayer etc lots. as there is very bad TV reception here.

Spend: Ideally £20 or so? but needs to be monthly contracts as we may be moving out in October. currently spending £24 a month

Hardware: I'm going to be buying a new router to replace the homehub.

exchange says that it's 21CN WBT in a couple of months. does that change anything?
we exp heavy limits of an evening from 4 till 11 every night where the internet is VERY slow (like 1-2MB)
Then comes straight back up to 7MB at approx 11, I'm not sure if this is BTs ADSL or the exchange being packed full.
what I really want is something that will just work for the next 10 months without me having to worry about going over the limits every day!

not got sky TV (rented property, can't have dish).

Mums on ADSL24 but I've seen that entras changed their hours for unlimited (GF is against leaving PC on overnight) and have some new shaping things going on?
Not sure but the GF's mum/dad have virgin and are happy but we'ed only be able to get the ADSL pack
upto 20MB? guessing we're still going to get 7MB, for £20 with 40GB. that any good?

Any help would be brilliant!

[edit]
anyone got a link to a network monitor I can use to check just how much I really have used via my PC over a month? sadly the home hub needs rebooting daily (but seems to do it itself anyway) so it's never got a full months worth of statistics

I would go with UK Online LLU since you have it on your exchange (easynet),

I was with them before moving to O2 simply because it was cheaper but the service with them was second to none.

UK call centres and downtime was rare.

Yes but when I was with them this wasnt an issue as they were really reliable,

I think you will struggle to find a good ISP with a 1 month contract nowadays.

I know Entanet still do these but I hear they have really went down hill?

yes I've heard the same thing sadly. need either 6 month contract or 1 month for preference

Guessing everyone thinks the same in that case. the ADSL24 for monthly contacts are the only real choice.
are there any real difference between the enta resellers?

Sorry to hijack thread a bit, but im changing soon too and i was wondering what the downtime is generally between changing from one ISP to another, i'd hate to be without the internet for long :(

It depends who you're moving between. If it's between two BT Wholesale ISPs it should be a matter of minutes while your modem reconnects.

If it's only between those then easily Enta over Tiscalipex. Dozens of ISPs do monthly contracts though; Zen, Plusnet, pretty much all the Enta resellers, IDNet, NewNet, everyone apart from the big ISPs subsidising the "free" hardware by tying you in.

plusnet seem to have a package within my price range
Plusnet have a premium package for 11-15 quid a month with QOS + throttling
but their PRO package seems to have no throttling (just QOS) or am I reading this wrong?
is there ANY difference between the enta resellers?

The most critical of your listed criteria is the need for a monthly contract. And I don't know who to suggest or where to look for that requirement.

The Utility Warehouse can supply LLU to you at that exchange - and they don't lock you in to a contract. But, they will make a charge if you leave within 12 months. There's no set-up charge and you get a free modem/router. Phone and broadband together for less than £20 (up to 40 meg) or £25 unlimited d/l. And, even better, there are schemes to get discounts every month. Our monthly cashback is typically £45 every month with some months much higher.

+1 ADSL24 its first class service im on package £19 a month 30gb in the day and 300gb at night a free useage at weekends downloading...
