BT Broadband down?

Company I work for has stores offline from wales to outer london.

BT said to just wait it out.

The service status does not tally with the widespread outage right now - its far more widespread than those 4 dialling codes.

I think this is also affecting cash machines, both of them at our local Tesco's were down..well when i say down, i mean you can put your card in and enter your PIN, but then comes back with the message 'unable to contact bank to verify details'......maybe coincidence, but i have never seen both of them go down with the same issue like this.

Ah my home broadband was down earlier, that'd explain it then. Pitty really as i was hoping that they were finally fixing how over loaded they are in my area, sadly not it seems

BT Infinity is alright, well unless you've got the dolla for Zen/Eclipse!

Unfortunately Virgin Cable isn't in my area and BT haven't done FTTC for my exchange yet let-alone for my cabinet

A fair few of our clients have phoned us this morning with BT problems, most of them trying to blame us as per usual!

All working now. Came on about 10 mins ago, then the static IP's kicked in.

Now I can find a new internet service provider.

Why are people so quick to want to get rid of BT? when was the last time they had a major failing? I cant remember one....

There has been 5 major faults at the local exchange near work within the last 1.5months, although not a national problem, its a huge problem for us as it takes down the main internet lines used for the 999 mobilisation system.
