BT Fibre Business Line & Own Router Setup

Hi guys,

I am trying to set up a router for a BT Business line at the moment. I know that BT Infinity at home does not need a password, just [email protected] as the username. I set the password as BT (not that it needs one).

Do I need a specific logon for business or does it work the same way as a home user?

Business Infinity uses a username and password for the connection. What router are you using?

Thought it might, a Draytek Vigor 2860N

Really easy to setup on the 2860N. In the ISP access section just put your username and password and it should connect. The VLAN tag should already be set if you have the UK firmware installed.

You can also use IPv6 with Business infinity, just put connection type "PPP" in the IPv6 section and it will do it's thing.

If you use the generic username/password then it will work, but you need to use your assigned username and password to get your static IP(s)

Thanks, this is what I thought. It currently has a generic one, but I will get the assigned ones as soon as I can.
